How have your responsibilities changed since you first started? Have you been given any new responsibilities?

Click the post title above to view the full journal entry! How have your responsibilities changed since you first started? Have you been given any new responsibilities? My responsibilities with my business sponsors have certainly changed throughout the course of my internship. My internship has been comprised of a series of projects and special events which I help to make happen. For projects, it is important that we lay out beforehand exactly what my responsibilities are going to be. For our live production events, I usually help some in planning, but mostly am just on-site during the event to fix any issues that may crop up. One way that my responsibilities have changed is that we have now started conducting “reflection” meetings after each event. We do this with all of the crew so that we can hear what went well, what didn’t go well, and what we can do better next time. It is always a rewarding process to reflect on what we have learned and accomplished. I have also been given the responsibility of finding a replacement at Crossroads Fellowship for when my internship ends. This replacement must be able to use all of the sound equipment and also run the light and media boards. I have a few candidates and we are working with them now on training. Until next time, —...

I contribute a lot to my various business sponsors. Throughout the course of my internship, as I have learned more and more, I have been able to give back more as well. At Crossroads Fellowship I… – Turn on the audio and lighting and projection systems at the beginning of every rehearsal – Turn off all of these systems at the beginning of every rehearsal – Complete a sound-check for all musicians and singers. – Keep the student tech area clean – Help with other special events put on by the student and adult ministries At Barnabas Multimedia I… – Assist with sound and light engineering as well as stage logistics at a variety of special events.
