1. Define the purpose of the business / organization – what they do, structure, who are their customers, etc. What is your job description – what will you be doing, who will you work with, where do you fit in, etc.?
It has been a great first three weeks! Many exciting things have been happening at each of my business sponsors.
Crossroads Fellowship is a large non-denominational church with two locations in Raleigh. I will be working at their Millbrook Campus, which is only a few miles away from Millbrook High School. I have been and will continue to lead the Production Team for Wednesday night and Sunday morning services. There are also often transition jobs that they need assistance with, such as moving to new lighting equipment or changing the layout of our worship center.
Source7 Marketing is a local marketing agency focusing on digital media solutions such as graphic design and website design. Colton Cockman is the Founder & CEO, and I will be meeting with him often to discuss web and graphics work, as well as completing a lot of work remotely. Already we have completed one client website project!
Barnabas Multimedia is a live event production company run by my uncle, Chris Droessler. I have already worked with him at the United Arts Council event at Wakefield High School, and I am looking forward to working at several other events this year, including the North Carolina State Fair. Although our involvement at the State Fair this year will not include running an entire tent, we will still help with putting up and taking down lighting equipment for another venue.
I am looking forward to all of the opportunities that will be presented this year during my internship!
